How a date can end
Five link types, explained plainly
When you set up a site you say what you can Offer and what you Seek. These are the five types we use. Matching is not open yet. Nothing here is a ranking promise.
Credits only appear on What you Seek when you add or edit a site. One-way Links cost two credits to seek. The others cost one. A credit is one hookup.
Reciprocal Links
Both sites place a link to each other, usually on a links, partners, or resources page. Each site gets a backlink.
A Dumfries plumber lists a local bathroom supplier under “Useful links”. The supplier lists the plumber on the same sort of page. Each site points to the other.

One-way Links
You place a link to their site without them linking back. Costs more credits when you seek this, because you are asking for a one-sided placement.
A garden studio writes a short note about a Brighton plant shop and links to it. The plant shop does not have to link back. That is why seeking this costs two credits.

Guest Posts
You write (or they write) an article published on the other site, with an agreed link back to your site in the content or author bio.
A York bookshop publishes a piece by a local author. The article, or the author line at the end, includes a normal link back to the author’s site.

Testimonials
A short written endorsement published on the other site (or yours), with a link to the site being recommended.
A wedding photographer writes two sentences about a Glasgow florist and that quote is published on the florist’s site, with a link to the photographer.

Resource Page
A mention and link on a curated resources, tools, or useful-links page (not a full guest article).
A Scottish legal blog keeps a “Helpful tools” list. Your site is one line on that list, with a link. It is a mention, not a full article.

You can change Offer and Seek later from Your Sites. The other person never sees your site name on the Matching feed until you both click Interested.
